Attending events
I am wanting to attend networking get together business events local to me, can anyone help with pointing me in the right direction.,,,,

1) ConstantContact.com has a great newsletter too that you might find interesting
2) MeetUp is at http://www.meetup.com/.
3) Toastmasters Int'l: http://www.toastmasters.org/
Also, you might try your local Chamber of Commerce. I'm sure they would charge for their meetings. Another thing I do is network with other consultants and business people from the booths that I do (I'm a consultant with Usborne Books & promote literacy). So if your business is like that it's another thought for networking.

Be sure to check meetup.com and constant contact. I just went to a constant contact event on using social media for business. So both of those might be good starts for you. Oh, I think there is a program called Toastmasters (?) that's nationwide.
